We are able to clean most types of oriental rugs including : - Chinese, Turkish, Persian, woven or tufted. These rugs need to be assessed to make sure they can be cleaned and by which process, wet or dry. Modern rugs are coloured and finished in many different ways using a variety of materials, dyes and processes in their assembly. Attention must be paid to the make-up of some rugs as they have a potential to shrink or bleed colours if the wrong process is used. Rugs, as for Carpets and Upholstery, need to be extensively dry vacuumed to ensure the removal of all dry soiling before any cleaning solutions are used. The procedures for cleaning rugs are similar to those of carpets but different processes are used to remove the soiling which may mean the rug will take longer to clean properly.
Rugs can be cleaned at the customer's address if space allows but to reduce inconvenience during the cleaning and drying process, we normally suggest cleaning the rugs off-site. This allows us the necessary space and time to perform the most effective clean with the minimum disruption. Rugs can normally be completed in around 5 - 7 days and returned fully dried out. We can arrange to collect the rugs from the customer's address and deliver them back after cleaning all of which will be included in the quoted price. Unfortunately, on smaller rugs this price may end up being higher in relation to their size and value.
